The Coach

The CoachThe Coach (or Kocsi) when it was invented in 15th century Hungary was a form of carriage that helped transport people from where they were to where they wanted to be.

Fast forward some 600 years & there are now plenty of humans calling themselves by the same name doing something very similar…

There are estimated to be 150,000 of us worldwide & that number has grown exponentially since COVID (estimated to be 54%). The global market is worth well north of $10bn annually & expanding (Source: ICF)

So why this & why now?

Well, if you look back to the main attributes of the 15th century version they were known to be robust & practical, offering comfort, shelter & versatility to those travelling in them, they were efficient & innovative for the time & their influence can still be seen to this day.

All qualities, you could argue that you would look for when selecting a Coach to work with today.

In a world where uncertainty & change are now the norm, having someone to travel with you, providing robust challenge at the same time as offering practical questioning, a relationship founded on psychological safety (think shelter) where you can share your innermost thinking & ideas without fear of ridicule or reprisal. Support whose versatility means you can meet virtually, in person, outdoors, in groups & at a time to suit your requirements all feels pretty innovative to me.

So if you want a partner or guide (not one that’s 600 years old & made of wood) to help unlock your potential & transport you closer to where you want to be, then contact me at rupert@strongerhumans.com for a free 30-minute conversation about how we could work together.
