You can’t measure connection

ConnectionAt work we’re often told to focus on what’s measurable.
But some of the most important things aren’t.

You can’t measure justice, integrity, courage, freedom, hope, or love.
Connection?
I’m not convinced you can measure that either.

At the start of 2025, I decided – partly to get out of my own way, partly to be more visible – to show up across my business social platforms more consistently.
52 weeks. 52 posts.

Why bother?

It started with feedback from a prospective client who said they couldn’t tell what I stood for or what my point of view was (I’d deliberately kept a very light digital footprint to that point). This was in part my response – a way to communicate a shift in direction, share what mattered to me, & seek to build more meaningful relationships.

So, what came of it?

New Connections
From broad & diverse backgrounds. Thank you for your openness & generosity.

Reconnections
Conversations that brought perspective, shared wisdom, & a reminder that no matter what the future holds, the past is always in some way present.

Unexpected Network Connections
Podcasts. Public speaking. Teaching. Volunteering. Chairing. Facilitation.
None were part of the plan. All were gratefully received.

& most importantly…
Stronger Human connection.

Because likes, impressions, & views are fine – but they’re not essential to survival.

If you’re heading into 2026 sensing the need for change – big or small, personal or professional – focus on possibility. Opportunity follows.
…& remember, connection cannot be weighed or measured, but it is unmistakably felt.

Thank you for your connection & support this year.
Here’s to an even ‘Stronger’ one ahead.
